We want to hear the excitement in your voice. This brief ‘Get to Know You’ phone call will be collaborative, fun, and, of course, informative. We’ll share as much (or as little) as you want to know about Clean Juice – but we also want to make sure you’d be a great new member of our family!

Once we confirm your awesomeness – and you confirm ours – we ask that you complete our franchisee application and provide necessary documentation such as proof of residency and citizenship. We’ll also carefully review the support and financial requirements necessary to start your organic juice bar and you will be asked to sign a consent for us to complete background checks.

Now that you’re officially a Clean Juice franchisee, our teams work with you to help navigate all the steps in the process of opening your store! How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time. Our proven step-by-step opening system paves the way toward a successful opening. Here are the milestones:
Using data and all the latest information, along with some common sense, we’ll guide you through every step of the site selection process to ensure you’re in the right place and in front of the right people.
We’ll teach you virtually everything you need to know about running a successful Clean Juice store, including a crash course in operations, supply-chain management, marketing, and more.
Your brick-and-mortar storefront is where the magic happens, so we’ll help you review architectural plans, select a general contractor, submit plans to the health department, and put the finishing touches on your Clean Juice store.
Now, with your beautiful storefront, partner with our Marketing Service team to create a buzz and inform your community about the opening. We offer social media management, search engine optimization, influencer marketing, and B2B partnerships to ensure your organic voice and mission reach the right people, at the right time and in the right place.

Clean Juice® was started in 2014 by Kat and Landon Eckles. Landon’s career required him to travel frequently and be away from Kat and their children. The couple decided to put their destiny in their own hands by starting a new business, and Kat’s passion for healthy living led her to look into starting her own certified organic juice bar. She and Landon jumped into the idea with 100% motivation and heart, and on June 5, 2015, the first Clean Juice location opened its doors in Huntersville, North Carolina. In just a few short years Clean Juice has grown exponentially and was the very first juice bar franchise to be USDA-certified organic. Because of their extensive experience, Kat, Landon, and the rest of the Clean Juice crew know all about how to start a juice business!
Clean Juice locations generally follow a simple staffing model. Each store has one General Manager, one Assistant Manager, 3 to 5 Shift Leaders, and 10+ Juiceristas. That’s right, we made up a word! Juiceristas – like baristas, but for juice! We love our Juiceristas. They are our frontline and make Clean Juice possible.
Yes! Our home office team is truly amazing and knows everything there is to know about how to open a juice bar business. Our experts are there to help you every step of the way. We love working with and supporting our franchisees and we promise to go above and beyond to support our Clean Juice family. Our Franchise Business Consultants will work closely with you and will visit your store twice per quarter to help you grow your business! The Clean Juice team offers support with marketing, training, operations, finance, and accounting.
While a person’s financial qualifications are important, we are in the business of partnering with the right people, not the right background. Our founders spend one-on-one time with each prospective franchisee to get to know them and make sure there are synergies and common interests. We love to partner with people who are focused on health and wellness, and who truly understand why organic is important. We love people with passion and an energy for life. We love people who lead with kindness. We love people with a drive. When evaluating a candidate, and before awarding a franchise, we make sure to take the whole picture of a person into account.
We require that a store must be open within nine months of signing a franchise agreement. Often the leasing process takes up most of this time, so the quicker this gets started, the sooner you will open. Our development team will guide you through this step as quickly as possible.
Yes! In fact, we do not allow you to sign a lease for a retail space until the site has been approved, and most times visited, by our Director of Real Estate. We are extremely involved in not only the site selection process but will work closely with your real estate broker during the LOI and lease negotiations.
We require all of our owners to be very present, hands-on, and involved. This might mean 40+ hours a week for the first 6 – 9 months. But remember — involved owners are successful owners!
Yes! We work with several 3rd party financing companies that can help with funding your Clean Juice store. We know this can be stressful, so we’ve gone above and beyond to select partners you can trust!
Yes, although we believe it’s very important that you have ties to the market you’re entering because our brand is so focused on integrating into the communities we serve. It’s always best to own a store where you reside, but we’ll work with you to create a plan to successfully own a location outside of where you live. Each situation is unique and has to be a good fit.
We aim to make the supply chain as simple as possible! The Clean Juice Home Office carefully chooses and sources organic ingredients so they can be easily ordered from our national distributors. We also give our Franchise Partners detailed training on how to order ingredients and wares properly.
Okay, some say this is the scary part – but it’s an important part. The Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD) is the document that officially binds us and sets expectations. This document is well-known by all of our current and future franchisees. Don’t worry! We’ll walk you through it and answer any questions about the remaining steps in the Franchise Qualification Process. You will receive a link to our FDD and you will need to electronically sign and return the FDD receipt.
