These are some of the most common questions we get nearly every single day from interested potential franchisees!

How did Clean Juice get started?

Clean Juice started in 2014 as the brainchild of Landon & Kat Eckles. Landon, after spending years traveling internationally, was ready for a career change and more time at home with his growing family. Kat had spent the better part of a decade making smoothies and juices at home and shot off the idea of opening a juice bar in the Charlotte area. Landon and Kat quickly jumped into the idea with 100% motivation and heart. They spent a lot of time researching other juice and smoothie bar options, and realized that none of them had the intangibles that they wanted: organic produce, no added sugars, a truly healthy product, and a guest-focused experience. They spent the rest of the year developing the Clean Juice brand and opened their first location, Birkdale Village, on their 8th wedding anniversary – June 5th, 2015. They built the business around 10 biblically-based core values that drive their every decision and are surrounded by a team that is just as passionate, motivated, and dedicated as they are.

How many employees does a typical Clean Juice store have?

A typical store will employ around 15 Juiceristas, One Assistant Manager, and One General Manager,. Many Juiceristas will be part-time employees, and often they are students.

How much is Clean Juice’s franchise fee & royalty?

The franchise fee to own a Clean Juice is $40,000 with 6% royalties and 1% to a brand marketing fund.

How much is the initial investment of opening a Clean Juice?

The total investment necessary to begin operation of a Clean Juice Business ranges from $246,500 to $498,500. This includes the $40,000 that must be paid as an initial fee to the franchisor. If you enter into a multi-unit agreement with us, the total investment necessary to begin operation of at least three stores ranges from $854,500 to $1,439,500. This includes the $72,000 that must be paid as an initial multi-unit fee to the franchisor.

Does Clean Juice provide training?

Yes! Every Franchisee and General Manager is required to attend a three-week Clean Juice University program at our home office near Charlotte, NC. In addition, we will send an on-site trainer to your store location for one week prior during your store launch. We also offer ongoing support with a dedicated Franchise Business Manager.

Does Clean Juice offer support if I have no business training?

Yes! Our home office team is truly amazing and here to help you any step of the way. We love working with and supporting our franchisees and make the promise to go above and beyond to make our Clean Juice family feel supported.  Our Franchise Business Coach will work with you every 4-6 weeks to help you grow your business!

What qualifies me to be a Clean Juice franchisee?

While economics are important, we are in the business of partnering with the right people, not the right financials. Our founders have breakfast with each prospective franchisee to get to know them and make sure there are synergies and common interests between both parties. We love to partner with healthy and wellness focused people who truly understand why organic is important. We love people with passion. We love people with an energy for life. We love people that lead with kindness. We love people with a drive. We take the whole picture of a person into account when evaluating a candidate and before awarding a franchise.

Does Clean Juice help with site selection?

Yes! In fact, we do not allow you to sign for a retail space until it has been approved, and most times visited, by our Director of Real Estate. We are extremely involved in not only the site selection process, but will work closely with your real estate broker during the LOI and lease negotiations.

How long does the process take to get my Clean Juice store open?

We require that a store must be open within 6 months of signing your franchise agreement. Often the leasing process takes up the bulk of this time, so the quicker this gets started, the sooner you will get open.

Do you award Clean Juice Franchisees to only owner/operators or can I solely be an owner?

While we love the owner/operator model, we understand that this isn’t a reality for many people. We do allow you to be an owner-only, but require a high-functioning General Manager that also attends our Clean Juice University training program.

Does Clean Juice help with obtaining funding?

Yes! We work with several 3rd party financing parties that can help with funding your Clean Juice store.

How does supply chain work at Clean Juice?

All products have been carefully sourced by Clean Juice’s home office and everything must be ordered from our nationwide distributors. All contacts will be made when the Franchise Agreement is signed, and you will have a detailed training on ordering goods for your Clean Juice store.

Can I buy a Clean Juice franchise in a market that I don’t live in?

Yes, although we believe it is very important that you have ties to the market that you are entering because our brand is so focused on integrating into the communities that they serve. It is always best to own a store where you reside, but we will work with you creating a plan for successfully owning a location outside of where you reside.
