HOW DID CLEAN JUICE GET STARTED?
Clean Juice® was started in 2014 by Kat and Landon Eckles. Landon’s career required him to travel frequently and be away from Kat and their children. Kat and Landon decided to put their destiny in their own hands by starting a new business. Kat’s passion for healthy living led her to present the idea of a starting certified organic Juice Bar. They jumped into the idea with 100% motivation and heart and on June 5, 2015, the first Clean Juice® location opened its doors in Huntersville North Carolina. In just a few short years Clean Juice has grown exponentially and is the only USDA-certified organic juice bar franchise around.
HOW MANY EMPLOYEES DOES A TYPICAL CLEAN JUICE STORE HAVE?
Clean Juice locations generally follow a simple staffing model. Each store has 1 General Manager, 1 Assistant Manager, 3-5 Shift Leaders, and 15-18 Juiceristas. That’s right, we made up a word! Juiceristas – like baristas for juice! We love our Juiceristas. They are our frontline and make Clean Juice possible.
HOW MUCH IS CLEAN JUICE’S FRANCHISE FEE & ROYALTY?
The Clean Juice franchise fee is $42,500. That franchise fee makes opening your location as simple as possible. Our development team will guide every step of the way. Our finance team will guide you through accounting and funding. The marketing team will help ensure your store opens with a bang, and the operations team will turn you into an expert at operating your store efficiently.
HOW MUCH IS THE INITIAL INVESTMENT OF OPENING A CLEAN JUICE?
The total investment necessary to begin operation of a Clean Juice location ranges from $259,000-$502,500. This includes the $42,500 that must be paid as an Initial Franchise Fee to the franchisor. If you enter into a multi-unit agreement with us, the total investment necessary to begin operation of at least three stores ranges from $777,000-$1,507,500. This includes the $69,500 that must be paid as an initial multi-unit franchise fee to the franchisor.
DOES CLEAN JUICE OFFER SUPPORT IF I HAVE NO BUSINESS TRAINING?
Yes! Our home office team is truly amazing and will help you any step of the way. We love working with and supporting our Franchise Partners and make the promise to go above and beyond to support our Clean Juice family. Our Franchise Business Consultants will work closely with you and will visit your store twice per quarter to help you grow your business!
WHAT QUALIFIES ME TO BE A CLEAN JUICE PARTNER?
While economics are important, we are in the business of partnering with the right people, not the right financials. Our founders spend one on one time with each prospective partner to get to know them and make sure there are synergies and common interests between both parties. We love people that lead with kindness. We love people with a drive. We take the whole picture of a person into account when evaluating a candidate and before awarding a franchise.
DOES CLEAN JUICE HELP WITH SITE SELECTION?
Yes! In fact, we do not allow you to sign for a retail space until it has been approved, and most times visited, by our Director of Real Estate. We are extremely involved in not only the site selection process, but will work closely with your real estate broker during the LOI and lease negotiations.
HOW LONG DOES THE PROCESS TAKE TO GET MY CLEAN JUICE STORE OPEN?
We require that a store must be open within 9 months of signing their franchise agreement. Often the leasing process takes up the bulk of this time, so the quicker this gets started, the sooner you will get open. Our development team will guide you through this step as quickly as possible.
DO YOU AWARD CLEAN JUICE FRANCHISES TO ONLY OWNER/OPERATORS OR CAN I SOLELY BE AN OWNER?
We require all of our owners to be very present, hands on, and involved. This could equate to be 40+ hours a week for the first 6-9 months. Involved owners are successful owners!
DOES CLEAN JUICE HELP WITH OBTAINING FUNDING?
Yes! We work with several 3rd party financing companies that can help with funding your Clean Juice store. We know this can be stressful, so we went above and beyond to select partners you can trust!
HOW DOES SUPPLY CHAIN WORK AT CLEAN JUICE?
We aim to make supply chain as simple as possible! Clean Juice Home Office carefully chooses and sources organic ingredients so they can be easily ordered from our national distributors. We also give our Franchise Partners detailed training on how to order ingredients and wares properly.
CAN I BUY A CLEAN JUICE FRANCHISE IN A MARKET THAT I DON’T LIVE IN?
Yes, although we believe it is very important that you have ties to the market that you are entering because our brand is so focused on integrating into the communities that they serve. It is always best to own a store where you reside, but we will work with you on creating a plan for successfully owning a location outside of where you live. This is very situational and has to be a good fit.
