We’re Investing More in Our AWARD WINNING FRANCHISE
When Landon and Kat Eckles first opened Clean Juice in Huntersville, NC, they had no idea it would become an award winning franchise with nearly 200 locations sold in 6 years. Building the brand has also been a long-term process and commitment, but one thing they’re not doing is staying stagnant. Here’s a sneak peek into what this certified organic juice bar is doing next.
- They moved their flagship location…across the street! They took the opportunity to make an impact on our guests and deliver on their desires…so they modernized its prototype store of the future at its new flagship location in Birkdale Landing – the new standard for the Clean Juice’s of the future.
- Just in time for the sixth anniversary of the opening of our first store, the new flagship store features several enhancements and upgrades to improve the customer experience, ingredient preparation, pick-up orders, grab-and-go coolers, and more parking access. We’ve made it easier for guests to get the Clean Juice they crave with self-ordering kiosks, a dedicated space for pick-up orders, and a dedicated grab-and-go cooler for our cleanse offerings.
- In addition to moving, Clean Juice is making important investments in the brand. We’ve recently rejuvenated our app to alleviate friction of demanding schedules. The new flagship store will feature new visual upgrades, including a dynamic digital menu board, large viewing window of our cold press machine to offer transparency, and an increased footprint to accommodate Clean Juice University.
Sales of Organic Products Continue to Rise Exponentially
One positive outcome of the pandemic is a heightened interest in healthy, organic eating. With more people cooking at home, the use of organic produce and products spiked in sales. U.S. organic food sales jumped nearly 13% to a record $56.4Bn. This accounted for nearly 6% of the food sold in the U.S.
The Organic Trade Association attributes several factors for the dramatic growth. As a result of the pandemic, consumers shifted away from restaurants and carry-out food to groceries nearly overnight. More consumers continue to choose high-quality organic products to further boost nutritional intake and thwart off illness.
Stocking the pantry with organic flours and baked goods grew by 30% and became a principal growth driver in 2020. Fresh organic produce rose by 11%, and frozen and canned fruits rose by more than 28%. The only limitation for further growth was supply constraints, fueling some analysts to wonder what the increase could have been had the supply been met.
It’s expected that organic food sales will stay on a strong path as the industry will get a lasting lift for the foreseeable future. More consumers adopting a renewed awareness of the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle means more organic products.
